Built around a 11-inch LCD screen clocked at a 120Hz refresh rate, Samsung’s latest foray into flagship Android tablet territory comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of on-board storage. Beyond the performance-related specs, the Galaxy Tab S8 also boasts a dual-lens rear camera setup that pairs up a 13-megapixel main sensor with a 6-megapixel ultra-wide lens. There’s also a 12-megapixel front-facing camera designed for video calls, and an S-Pen stylus that comes bundled with the device. Internal improvements aside, the Galaxy Tab S8 looks to be a fairly iterative update to last year’s Galaxy Tab S7. For those who need a little more screen space, there’s the Galaxy Tab S8+. The middle child of the range, this option bumps the screen up to 12.4-inches and swaps out the LCD panel for an AMOLED one. You also get an improved S-Pen with lower latency and the option of 5G connectivity. Of course, the headliner is the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Envisioned as a power-user-ready counterpart to the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, this tablet brings a downright-enormous 14.6-inch AMOLED screen to the table. With a display that makes the one on the iPad Pro feel cramped by comparison, Samsung is pitching the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra as the perfect canvas for multitaskers. The tablet also adds a second 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens to the front-facing camera setup. Pricing starts at $1,099 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, $1,499 for the Galaxy Tab S8+ and $1,799 for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. In Australia, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will go on-sale alongside the new Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones on the 4th of March. Those who can’t wait may want to get their pre-order with Samsung or one of their retail partners before that date, as it’ll net them a few bonus goodies. If you opt to pre-order the Galaxy Tab S8, you’ll get a Samsung book cover keyboard, a set of Galaxy Buds2 and a book cover accessory for the device. If you go for the Galaxy Tab S8+, you’ll get more-or-less the same set of accessories but come away with a set of Galaxy Buds Live instead of the Galaxy Buds2. Finally, those who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will score a free set of Galaxy Buds Pro on top of the usual accessories.
